American School Counselor Association (ASCA)

The mission of ASCA is to represent school counselors and to promote professionalism and ethical practices. This professional organization  is the foundation that expands the image and influence of school counselors through advocacy, leadership, collaboration and systemic change. North Mission and Vision 

Mission

The mission of the North High School Counseling Program is to provide comprehensive services in the areas of academic, social/emotional, and career development to maximize student success while in high school and beyond.   

The professional school counselors at North High School empower all students to be confident and advocate for themselves by building relationships, promoting positive school climate and removing barriers to ensure equity of access for every student.  The counselors implement these services through individual, group, classroom and school-wide activities with the help and support from collaborative partnerships with parents, staff, students and community members.  

Vision  

The vision of the North High School Counseling Program is for all students to graduate with the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve academic, social/emotional, and college and career success, and to reach their fullest potential as thriving, contributing members in an ever-changing global society.
