  • Visit ncaa.org/playcollegesports to learn more about the opportunities available at NCAA schools.

  • Know the academic standards for Division I and Division II.

  • Complete NCAA-approved courses throughout high school. Your school counselor can help you find and select courses.

  • Register with the NCAA Eligibility Center at eligibilitycenter.org before your sophomore year if you are interested in playing college sports.

  • After four semesters of high school, ask your counselor to send official transcripts from all high schools you have attended to the NCAA Eligibility Center.

COVID-19 Automatic Waiver—2021-22 Enrollment

Given the continuing impact of COVID-19 on the educational environment, the NCAA Eligibility Center has partnered with the NCAA membership to identify the following changes to the initial-eligibility certification process for students who initially enroll full time in a collegiate institution during the 2021-22 academic year

The Eligibility Center will continue to monitor the environment and make necessary adjustments to prioritize health, safety and fairness for all college-bound student-athletes. The following reminders are designed to help as you provide information to students and families and assist them with the registration, initial-eligibility and certification processes.Advise Students to Create an EC Account

As we head into a new school year, please encourage any student-athletes wanting to play sports in college to create an EC account at eligibilitycenter.org . Incoming freshman and undecided student-athletes may want to register for a free Profile Page account. These accounts can be transferred to paid a Certification account at any time. Profile Page account registrants also get an NCAA ID and important reminders from the EC as they complete high school

Any student-athletes planning to compete at an NCAA Division I or II school need to create a Certification account.
