ASCENT- Current Seniors

This program pays for your first year at a Colorado technical college, community college, or Metro State University. This is not guaranteed money, but I would encourage you to apply if you are planning on attending a Colorado technical college, community college, or Metro State University.

ASCENT APPLICATION PROCESS & REQUIREMENTS

SUMMARY OF APPLICATION PROCESS: Complete the ASCENT worksheet. Complete the Online ASCENT Application. Submit your Application!

- STEP 1: Review and Complete the ASCENT Worksheet. Make a copy and share it with your school counselor.

Use this worksheet to gather all information necessary to apply for ASCENT. Counselors and student must work together to complete the worksheet. Once complete, a student is ready to complete the online application (Step 2).

- STEP 2: Complete the Online ASCENT Application.

Note: Students must submit an ASCENT Agreement Form however this is not part of the online application. The form will be due in April 2021 and must be signed by the student, parent, and counselor/principal.

KEY DATES

• November 1 20201: Application Opens

• March 1, 2022: Application Deadline

• April 6, 2022: Conditional Acceptance into ASCENT (based on meeting eligibility requirements)

• May/June 2022: Official Acceptance into ASCENT (based on # of slots awarded by CDE and results from ASCENT lottery, if necessary)*July notification if acceptance is pending scores from an AP/IB/CLEP exam or credits from a summer school course.
