I am originally from Northeastern Montana near the Canadian border where most of my family still resides. After acquiring my Bachelor’s degree at Rocky Mountain College, I started working with Siberian Yupik Eskimo’s on St. Lawrence Island, located just south of the Bering Strait in Alaska.
Eventually, I moved to Anchorage and worked with a home school program that also assisted active duty military families that were stationed throughout the Pacific Rim. This allowed me to travel to places like Guam, Hawaii, South Korea, and Japan. After completing my Master’s Degree in Economics and Education from the University of Alaska, I moved to New Mexico.
While in New Mexico, I worked for Park University and the local school district near Holloman Air Force Base. During this time, I earned my doctoral degree in Management and Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix.
The field of education has harbored my life’s professional goals, allowing me to transition to Denver and work with the Denver School District. It is with great pleasure that I have worked with the department of Gifted and Talented for a number of years now. Nothing is more gratifying for me than to assist others in their educational journey, and to learn from the various experiences revealed through shared knowledge!
