Project - The Tudors
This term, in our project we will be learning about the Tudors and their impact on Britain today. The children will work as historians, anaylsing a variety of sources to gather evidence on Henry VIII reign and how life was for people during the Tudor times. In science, we are focusing on Properties and Changes of Materials. The children will conduct experiements and investigations into how changes in materials can sometimes be reversed. They will also find out why materials are chosen to make things based on their properties. In Art, the children will be learning all about Hans Holbein (an artist during Tudor times) before creating their own artwork inspired by his own.
Here are some of the articles we will be covering in our lessons:
RRS Article 17:Every child has he right to reliable information from the mass media, television, radio, newspaper and other media should provide information that children can understand. Governments must help protect children from materials that could harm them.
RRS Article 27:Every child has the right to a standard of living that is good enough to meet their physical, social and mental needs. Governments must help families who cannot afford to provide this.
