During the Spring Term, children in Year 5 and 6 learn about invaders and settlers in project.
They are taught about the settlement of Anglo-Saxons, Scots and Vikings.
They learn about the geographical regions where these groups settled and how they have changed over time.
Children also learn about aspects of human geography, incuding types of settlement, land use and the distribution of natural resources such as food and water.
Art and Design projects are linked to Invaders and Settlers. Children will design and make an Anglo-Saxon village as well as make their own jewellery, inspired by the settlers.
