PROJECT: World War 2
In this project, children will learn all about Britain during World War 2. They will be learning all about the key events that lead to World War 2 as well as: learning about some of the key figures of this time and learning about the effect the war had on Britain during this time. In Science, we will be focusing on Evolution and Inheritance.
Please see our knowledge organiser, below, for more information.
RRS Article 3-The best interests of the child must be a top priority in all decisions and actions that affect children
RRS Article 9- Children must not be separated from their parents unless it is in their best interests (for example, if a parent is hurting a child). Children whose parents have separated have the right to stay in contact with both parents, unless this might hurt the child.
RRS Article 38- Governments must do everything they can to protect and care for children affected by war. Governments must not allow children under the age of 15 to take part in war or join the armed forces.

Being Me in My World & Celebrating Difference
Our JIGSAW Puzzle piece for PSHE this half term is ‘Being in My World’. We will explain why being listened to and listening to others is important in the school community. Furthermore, the children will be learning to identify why being democratic is important and can help themselves and others feel valued.
After half term our Puzzle piece is ‘Celebrating Difference’. In this piece the children will recount times when their first impression of someone changed as they got to know them. They will be able to explain why bullying might be difficult to spot and the steps that should be taken if they are not sure about what to do. Furthermore, there will be lessons to identify why it is good to accept themselves and others for who they are.
