• Proposal
The following is a link to the PowerPoint proposal I showed to the lecturer alongside the lecturers feedback.
• Feedback
The following is the unedited version of my lecturers feedback for the above PowerPoint presentation:
"A Good choice of low poly art style for your FMP vertical slice,
Try to take elements from all research sources for the design of your UI, and make sure to create some concepts for different UI styles before settling on one idea, showing the development of your ideas is key during the FMP process.
UI needs a lot of time dedicated to it as it is one of the core features of the game, make sure to design this well and spend enough time on this.
Due to the amount of scripting you have planned for, try and get your secondary research done in the next couple of weeks, make sure to look at recent examples from the genre such as FrostPunk, Total War games etc.
Make sure to create backups of your project every time you make progress, label these clearly and save them to a cloud storage system such as google drive to avoid any unwanted issues."
• Action Plan
The following document is a an action plan, this will be updated alongside my project with several key factors including what I plan on doing, how it wen, what I could do better and what my next plans are.
• Gantt chart
For my project I thought having a Gantt chart that would be used alongside my Action plan would be a good idea. The reason for this being that alongside the usefulness of keeping an action plan for remembering what I have done, having a Gantt chart would help keeping the project on track. The following chart was created before any actual work was carried out on the project, I don't have any real idea on how much time will be needed on each section so I used rough estimates instead.
