Dominican University of California has partnered with Touro University of California to offer unique opportunities for DUC alumni (within 2 years of graduation) and undergraduate students. These collaborations include an undergraduate Pre-Pharmacy Mentorship Program and three Graduate Programs.
Overview:
Dominican’s Pre-Pharmacy Mentoring Program provides in-depth exposure to help prospective pharmacists make an informed career choice. The selected undergraduate students will be mentored by a student ambassador currently in the College of Pharmacy at Touro University of California. They will give an inside look at the world of healthcare, teach interesting facts about medical issues and procedures, and share tips and recommendations about pharmacy schools. Successful completion of the program will guarantee an on-campus tour as well as an interview for potential admission to the College of Pharmacy.

Requirements:
Biology or Chemistry Major with a minimum of 2.75 Cumulative GPA
DU Class Rank – sophomores, juniors, and seniors
Currently registered Dominican University of California
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Status
Corequisites/Prerequisites:
Candidates for admission to the College of Pharmacy are required to complete the following coursework with a grade of "C" or better by satisfying either Option 1 or Option 2 below along with the core courses:
Core Courses:
Human Physiology - 3 semester units, lab not required
Microbiology - 4 semester units with lab
Calculus - 3 semester units
Chemistry Option 1
General Chemistry - 8 semester units with lab
Organic Chemistry - 8 semester units with lab
(may substitute 4 units of Biochemistry for 4 units of Organic Chemistry)
Chemistry Option 2
General Chemistry - 4 semester units with lab
Organic Chemistry - 8 semester units with lab
Biochemistry - 4 semester units with lab

DUC alumni (within 2 years of graduation) and undergraduate students interested in a career as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) are eligible to compete for a guaranteed interview for admission to the program every academic year, with a maximum of 10 students selected.
DUC alumni (within 2 years of graduation) and undergraduate students interested in a career as a Pharmacist are eligible to compete for a guaranteed interview for admission to the program every academic year, with a maximum of 10 students selected.
DUC alumni (within 2 years of graduation) and undergraduate students interested in strengthening their health sciences foundation and bolstering their resume for medical school are eligible to compete for a guaranteed interview for admission to the program every academic year, with a maximum of 10 students selected.
