Below are the dates your contract must be signed before submitting it to the Career Development Office for Approval each semester.
That means your contract must be signed by the NSM Internship Director, Dr. Megan Toma, and the NSM Chair, Dr. Diara Spain, before these dates:
Fall 2024 - September 9, 2024
Spring 2025 - January 28, 2025
Summer 2025 - May 28, 2025

Internship Contract
Links you to the directions for completing an internship contract at DU as well as the link to the Google Form and other documentation required to obtain appropriate signatures and approval for your internship experience.
DUC Internship Database
Links you to the searchable databases available through the DU Career and Development Office and provides other ideas for potential contacts which have helped many students find internships and jobs.

Internships Hours and Units:
1 unit - 45 hours
2 units - 90 hours
3 units - 135 units
10 units - (ACS only)

Internships can be PAID or UNPAID
Need a Site Supervisor
Can be ON campus or OFF campus
There are multiple steps involved in completing the internship paperwork.
Step One: Please complete the NSM Internship Questionnaire before beginning the process.
Step Two: You will need to complete and upload two forms, listed below:
A. Internship Learning Contract - sections of this can be pre-filled out before sending to your internship site supervisor. All sections must be filled out.
B. Internship Learning Outcomes - please answer the following questions and submit a PDF version of your responses.
1. What are your goals for this internship?
2. Describe how this internship supports DU Institutional Learning Outcomes (see attached).
3. What specific skills would you like to develop during this experience?
4. Describe the classroom knowledge that you can apply to the internship
Note: NSM has developed 4 templates that may be helpful in developing your internship goals. You may modify any of these to be more appropriate for your internship.
