Learn how to register for accommodations at Dominican University of California!
Step 1: Complete the Intake Form
Email accessibility@dominican.edu to request the Intake Form.
Step 2: Schedule a Meeting
Once we verify that your intake form meets the eligibility requirements, we will contact you to schedule a meeting. If we need more information, we will notify you.
Step 3: Explore Accommodations
During your initial meeting, you will share your narrative, discuss your needs, and explore accommodations. You will also discuss how to advocate with faculty and get connected with campus resources.
Step 4: Share with your Instructors
Once you receive your Accommodations Verification Letter (AVL), it is your responsibility to forward it to each instructor. Note: you may choose not to share with all instructors, as you may not need accommodations in every class.
Step 5: Meet with your Instructors
Make 1:1 appointments with the instructors you will be needing accommodations from, and discuss in detail how all of your accommodations will be executed. It is also important to discuss "what if" scenarios that may arise.
