BUKLOD

In-Charge: Claudia Denise P. Barbadillo

The Office of the DMMMSU BUKLOD, Center for Social Inclusiveness, advocates change towards racial identity, acceptance and equality among persons with disabilities, indigenous people, senior citizens, LGBTQ, women, solo parents, out-of-school youth, and persons stripped with freedom.

The center manifests DMMMSU’s initiative in promoting gender and rights-based activities and programs embedded in the curricular offerings. The Instruction, Research and Extension components of the University are likewise mobilized to provide and deliver capability trainings, research outputs and community engagement. Through the center, more opportunities are offered, creating more possibilities of transforming learners into productive and responsible citizens and future leaders.

Buklod objectives:

1. To create a safe and just learning space for students of diverse backgrounds where their human rights are observed and respected;

2. To promote equal opportunity and accessibility to services regardless of gender and background

3. To foster a sense of belongingness, appreciation, and participation among learners

Truly, where there is diversity, there is collaboration!
