Duel Credit (DC) Requirements at DLB:
- Students need to have a 3.0 GPA
-For English DC, students must be a senior and have an ACT English score of 18 or higher or a 256 on the Accuplacer test
-For Math DC, students must be a senior and have an ACT Math score of 21 or higher or a 255 on the Accuplacer test
Forms in the office:
MSU and DCB paper work are with Mrs. Snyder in the high school office
BSC and WSC paper work is done by student and can contact Mrs. Schaefer for assistance
If DC class is offered in the fall, the forms must be turned in the beginning of May.
If DC class is offered in the spring, the forms must be turned in the beginning of December.
Payment for DC classes:
-$35 application fee (one time for each college) plus tuition costs, need to be paid to the college before classes begin. If fees are not paid, colleges will hold the student's grade, even from DLB, and the student could end up with a 0 for that class and may lose credits for graduation.
College Course Placement:
Placement tests serve as in indicator of student preparedness to enroll in college coursework. Use of placement scores is for advising high school students to enroll in additional or advanced coursework in preparation for college. Colleges and universities are required to use placement scores as a prerequisite for enrollment in credit bearing, degree level coursework.
English placement scores: ACT 18 (English subtest) or Accuplacer 256
Math placement scores: ACT 21 (Math subtest) or Accuplacer 255

-Medical Terminology, Computer Hardware & Operating Systems, Cybersecurity I & II, Networking Fundamentals, Coding with Python, Coding with JAVA, Intro to Linux, and Intro to AI (10th-12th grades) BSC
-Equine Science (10th-12th grades) WSC
