Completing the FAFSA application is not just for Federal Student loans, it is also used to help determine state grants and colleges/universities use it for their own scholarships. FAFSA must be applied for each year.
Contact the College's Financial Aid office if you have questions on how to complete a portion of the FAFSA before you submit it.
Minot State Financial Aid office is very helpful, even if you are not attending there.

TO DO:
Create a StudentAid.gov account. Both the student and the Financially Responsible Parent need to create a FSA ID. Guardians, do not create a new account if you already have one (that you created when you went to college or for another child that completed the FAFSA). It takes several days for this process to be complete and needs to be done before you can start the FAFSA application.
