Flipped Classroom: Flipping the Recorder Classroom with Google sites and Seesaw!
A Flipped Classroom allows students at any level to work independently and progress at their own pace. Those struggling with one particular aspect of the recorder have the opportunity to problem solve, and those who work quickly can move ahead maintaining their motivation. It is a place where students can find all the materials they need, including music and accompaniment tracks. The Flipped Classroom also provides opportunities for students to see and hear good playing models by using YouTube links. Students can share their success by creating short videos for the Recorder Repair Shop, or share their recorder playing with family and friends through Seesaw. Additionally, the teacher can assess students outside of class time, providing more specific feedback than a large group setting would allow.

Math Interview
Upload a picture of the facts you want your students to solve in the "Create an Activity" portal.
If you want students to verify their thinking, highlight those problems in another color.
Instruct students to record their voice as they solve the problems and verify their thinking for the highlighted facts.
Reflection Activities
Have students reflect on their work using Seesaw.
Instruct students to take a picture of their assignment and to use the voice recording feature to reflect on their activity.
Post Math Games for Additional Math Practice
Use the Notes option to share Investigations math games with families at home.
In the Pearson site, copy the link of the math game from the game center. This will allow students to access the games without a username or password from home.
Store math games in folders for easy access and organization. Before you post the "Note" to your students' journal you will have the option to create or file in a folder.
This note can be modified as the unit progresses, so you can post games as students are introduced to them in class.
Extra Math Practice
Create an activity for students to solve math problems on Seesaw. Encourage students to continue to use the math strategies they are being taught in the classroom.
Students will be able to see their classmates solve the same problem using multiple strategies.
