Safety Tips from District 90

Allowing students to create their digital footprints while protecting students' privacy is one of the most important goals when using social media in the classroom.

Here are some general guidelines for protecting students' privacy in District 90:

  • Make sure when posting student work last names are NOT displayed
  • Before posting pictures of students check to see if any of your students are on the "no photos" list (generated by PowerSchool)
  • Check to see if students have the "Authorization for Electronic/Network Access/Use Form" signed by a parent/guardian
