Spanish I

Course Description

Spanish I is an introduction to the Spanish language for nonheritage speakers. Students will learn how to describe themselves, others, and the world around them at a novice level of proficiency. Some of the themes studied include celebrations, family, and hobbies/interests. This course stresses speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish as well as developing a cultural understanding of the Spanish-speaking world.
