The discontinuation of the Dillard University Football Team greatly disappointed the student body. They offered their concerns to the president, as well as, their inquiries of the team's return. President Albert W. Dent presented the rationale for suspending football. Ultimately, Dr. Dent saw this as a major insurance issue for the university and its students.
