Coach Martin, who was an assistant to Coach Pierro, became one of the most decorated coaches in Dillard University's history. His ascent to Head Football Coach furthered the Blue Devils standards of conference championships. Like Pierro, Coach Martin would capture several conference titles. He was the personification of competitive sports, as he was simultaneously the university's Head Basketball Coach.
