Press conference this Tuesday (14) to announce the launch of 99Food in Rio de Janeiro
Starting today (Oct 14), 99Food begins a week of testing in Rio de Janeiro. With an investment of R$350 million, 99Food expands its operations to Rio, Niterói, São Gonçalo, Nova Iguaçu, Caxias, São João de Meriti, Belford Roxo, and Nilópolis.
This is the third location to receive the service expansion, which began in Goiânia (June), moved to São Paulo (August), and is now arriving in Rio de Janeiro. The new service is part of 99's convenience ecosystem, which already offers mobility and item delivery services. From now on, Rio residents will have access to a comprehensive app that connects transportation, payments, and delivery in one place.
💬 Why it matters
“Our model was designed to create value for everyone — reducing costs for restaurants, increasing earnings for partners, and making food delivery more accessible for consumers. Entering Rio de Janeiro is a strategic move that reinforces our goal of growing sustainably in a market with enormous potential”.
— Simeng Wang, Brazil Mobility GM
