Born on 11 August 1977 in Batangas City, Philippines, Eric Punzalan is the founder of Angeli Artist Guild (AAG), an officer of the Batangueñong Grupo sa Sining at Kultura (BAGSIK) and a member of Art Show Philippines.

He participated in numerous group exhibitions of BAGSIK, AAG, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), and Art Show Philippines. Some of his works are part of a permanent collection of the Museum of Asian Art in Malaysia. 

Prior to working full-time as an art teacher at Studio Angeli Gallery, he used to work as a muralist for a royal family in the Middle East, painting the palaces using trompe l'œil technique. He also worked as a designer and project coordinator for interior design firms in Bahrain and Riyadh, and as a Production Manager for an advertising company in Saudi Arabia.
