Central Luzon is renowned as the “Rice Granary of the Philippines” and plays a significant role in the country's rice production, one of the regional livelihoods that allows the community to sustain their everyday needs.
Aside from Pampanga's (heavily, heavily, heavily contested) reputation as Culinary Capital of the Philippines, the region also boasts capitals for other creative industries such as parols (San Fernando, Pampanga), decorative pastillas, wrapper cutting (Malolos and San Miguel, Bulacan, respectively) and belen nativity scenes (the province of Tarlac.) New Clark City is also the epicenter of the Pax Silica-aligned Luzon Economic Corridor which will likely heavily impact the Philippine Creative Economy.
