Philippine marble is closely associated with the island province of Romblon. According to DOST, Romblon is home to world-class high-grade marble comparable to Italy’s Carrara Marble. Its products are exported to countries such as Japan, China and the United States. The industry's output spans raw construction rubbles, large export blocks, precision-lathed items (torno crafts like balusters and cups), and finished tiles or countertops but DOST has reportedly pursued developing waste marble into "ink" for marble-based 3D printing. In 2025, DOST handed Romblon a 10-year Marble Industry Development Road Map that outlines strategies for strengthening the local marble market, expanding distribution to regional and international markets, improving product design, and providing training to workers to enhance their skills, product quality, and competitiveness.
