INSURANCE POLICY
As a University of Deusto student, you will be provided with a Travel Assistance Policy with medical coverage through the Program.
You can find your personalized Policy with the official stamp valid from JANUARY 7th to MAY 16th, 2025. This Policy has worldwide coverage. The only country where coverage is not available is your home country.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
It is very important for you to always have the insurance policy sheet with you, or at least the phone number of the insurance company and your policy number. Please remember you also received this information by e-mail.
IF YOU NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR:
If you are in Bilbao or nearby, we recommend that you request to be assisted at Centro Médico IMQ Colón (calle Colón de Larreategui, 45) open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 8 pm. You need to call to make an appointment: 94 424 2462.
Doctor prescribed drugs are covered.
You need to pay in advance for medical assistance and for doctor prescribed drugs.
IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY / HOSPITALIZATION:
Please call EXPAT ASSISTANCE, the insurance company (international phone number: 00 32 2 669 0880):
You can request to be assisted in English.
You will need to provide your name and policy number.
You need to request emergency assistance and guarantee of payment (so that you do not need to pay in advance).
You can request be assisted at Clínica IMQ Zorrotzaurre (calle Ballets Olaeta, 4 Deusto-Bilbao), open 24/7. Access to the clinic will always be through the Emergency Room.
The insurance policy does not cover visits for chronic diseases or regular checkups.
HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND
Download the claim form from the http://www.expatinsurance.eu/en/CLAIMS.aspx website.
Fill in the claim form VERY CAREFULLY.
Enclose a copy of the bills, invoices and all proof of payment (always keep the original bills for at least 1 year after refund request).
Enclose a copy of the diagnosis and/or prescription of medication or sanitary material (always keep the original bills at least 1 year after refund request).
Add your account number including your IBAN-code, your BIC/SWIFT code, and the name and address of your bank, as well as your home address.
Clearly indicate date and description of the illness/injury (the insurance needs to know the reason why you had to go to the doctor).
Send a scanned copy of the claim form and other documents by e-mail to claims@expatinsurance.eu .
