Camachiles National High School (CNHS) formerly known as Sapang Biabas Resettlement High School, is a public Junior High School in the Division of Mabalacat City, Pampanga providing the best education for learners in the post-pandemic era.
The school is in Camachiles Phase II, bordering a portion of the Dau-Sta. Ines section of the North Expressway. The school has a total land area of 8 230 m2, catering to learners from other neighboring barangays like Dau, Mabiga, and Sapang Biabas. Despite the availability of secondary schools in the mentioned barangays, many learners still prefer to enroll at CNHS. This is an indication of the school’s commitment to offering quality learner-centered education for all.
The school now has four (4) DPWH buildings, numbered #7, #8, #11, and #12 in addition to the JICA and Azkon Buildings which provide a total of 37 classrooms. Apart from these, there are also school facilities and offices that cater to the needs of the students.
CNHS is considered now a mega-large school after its official operation in 1995. Currently, it offers three curricular programs namely: (1) Science, Technology and Engineering (STE) Program; (2) Special Program in Journalism (SPJ); and (3) Basic Education Curriculum (BEC).
Due to the high number of enrollments over the years and the inadequacy of classrooms, the school has been implementing double-shift classes (morning and afternoon sessions) to accommodate the students. Currently, the school has a total population of 2 633 consisting of 1 375 males and 1 258 females.
At present, there are a total of 101 teachers, four (4) head teachers, five (5) head teacher- designates and two (2) administrative assistants assigned to this school under its current leader, Ms. Arlene C. Vidal, PhD., Principal IV. She started leading the school last March 8, 2021. In her leadership, she coined the school’s tagline adding to the One Love, One Family, One CNHS making it “One Love, One Family, One CNHS: The school where every learner thrives.”
Along with the rich tradition of excellence, CNHS school heads marked their traits of leadership in every corner of the school. See them below in the image timeline carousel.
