The Scholarian Gazette (formerly known as The Scholar) is the Official School Publication of Lipa City Science Integrated National High School (LCSINHS). With the mantra, "We write for the people, we pursue the truth!", The Scholarian Gazette upholds its integrity and credibility through service in the manner of writing, reporting, and serving the masses as the people's correspondence. As sharp as an owl's eyes, we serve as the platform of information in and out of the campus, current issues and events that make the world go round, in-trend features, and other media that would keep the students of LCSINHS up to date.
As one of the school's longest-running organizations, this organization is instrumental for molding scholars to reach their utmost potential in the field of journalistic writing. With exposure to contests like the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) and representing the Division of Lipa to the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC), even reached the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC). All of this is not possible without the guidance of School Paper Advisor; Ms. Maria Rowena B. Jimera, along with Mrs. Erika Anna M. Garcia, and Mrs. Erica Eyunice L. Vergara.

A Chamber Beams: Lipa Science pilots its second PTC of the Academic Year 2022-2023

On the 12th day of November 2022, the second Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) of this academic year was conducted in the auditorium of Lipa City Science Integrated National High School. The opportunity of formally introducing herself to the parents of the learners she administers was essentially given to Dr. Ebelne C. Fornal.
As the Department of Education (DepEd) annually holds a press conference, the Lipa City Science Integrated National High School (LCSINHS) established its own publication to compete with other schools, showcasing excellence through writing. It was then called The Scholar and was inclusive of those who would only compete for the Press Conference before changing the name of the publication to The Scholarian Gazette, further diversifying the members and cultivating journalists and aspiring writers to hone their writing skills.
There were already several School Paper Advisers and Editor-in-Chiefs who made sure the members of the organization were guided towards greatness. For the last five years, these people have made it possible for the organization to be where it is now: Mrs. Grace D. Bravo, Donn Angelo Fababeir, Mr. Jhondriel C. Lim, Ms. Maria Rowena B. Jimera, Kathleen Nicole Vivas, Mrs. Erika Anna M. Garcia, Algie Lloyd Valles, and currently Gladen Hope Javier. Acknowledgements to these hardworking mentors who helped the organization and those others to be fruitful in the field of journalism.
This academic year 2022-2023, the organization has been more active than ever, as one of its primary aims this year is to serve as the eyes of the students of LCSINHS from the perspective of journalism, opening its borders to more students to be as involved as possible in the pursuit of truth.

Journalism can never be silent: that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault. It must speak, and speak immediately, while the echoes of wonder, the claims of triumph and the signs of horror are still in the air. ---Henry Grunwald
A pen, a piece of paper and a sound mind…these are what journalists need to express. Writing is God’s gift. It is an opportunity and a great avenue to inform, to educate others and lead people by example.
Continue to inspire everyone through Journalism. Use your voice but write with responsibility. Use your pen to encourage camaraderie, love and unity. Finally, you may be gifted with talent in writing but always ask guidance from God for a sound mind and an effective article to write. Your talent is extraordinary.
On behalf of Lipa City Science INHS, I extend my congratulations to the editorial staff for being a part of our Gazette and for your consistent commitment, dedication and eagerness in terms of writing and in promoting Journalism since the pandemic and until now that we are in Face to Face modality. Hats off and Mabuhay, Scholarian Gazette Staff/writers! May God be with us always!
Editor-in-Chief, School Year 2022-2023
As the passion of writing sets me on fire, it is true that journalism is a part of my life and to be one of its beacons is an understatement. Early on, I’ve seen how this organization can grow and be more fruitful and to be at this position where we can achieve what many are expecting, puts intense pressure on journalists like me.
I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I am for being one of the writers for the school publication. With the quill on my hand, and a river of articles to write, this organization molded me to see the difference between right and wrong, embedded the oath of journalists in my life, and shaped writing skills the way I’ve never seen before. With all of the years in my stay at the institution, I am thankful that this organization helped me reach my utmost potential and be an asset of the publication. With that, I stand as one with the mantra “we write for the people, we pursue the truth” all in the name of journalism!
