COVID-19 pandemic changed the landscape of education not only in the Philippines but also in a worldwide setting. The unexpected emergence of the virus resulted in branching problems and issues that needed an immediate response to address the delivery of learning amidst crisis. This video shows the different factors affecting the teaching-learning process and how the education sector can cope and ' BOUNCE BACK' better.
NOTE: Physical distancing and necessary health protocols were practiced during the interview with the mother (Maribeth) and her son (Ryahm).

This evidence contains the different competencies stated in the seven (7) domains of Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) for Beginning Teachers such as the conduct of research in order to identify the various factors affecting the teaching and learning process amidst the current pandemic . It also exhibits an integration of ICT-based methods (through the use of the modern media platforms) that are truly essential part of developing learner's 21st century skills. More importantly, the execution of the activity aims to promote greater awareness not just only on the education sector but to the whole community as a response to the needs of the diverse learners for an equitable and accessible quality of learning within a secure environment, most especially in these times that education is in the face of challenges. Furthermore, the evidence features a feedback coming from the representatives of the community (parent and learner) that needs to be addressed for the improvement of the implementation of the curriculum. Lastly, it can be observed on the presented evidence the objective of having a realization on the lenses of teacher's practices which is beneficial for their professional engagement and development while upholding the principle that no learners must be left behind.

COVID-19 pandemic is considered as one of the greatest challenges being experienced in the history of the education sector. Thousands of institutions were closed, and millions of students were highly affected wherein usual daily routines have been disrupted. Despite this current circumstance, educators around the world shift their mindsets into more optimistic perspectives than dwelling into the difficulty brought by this virus in our lives-- learning must continue without compromising its quality and delivery to each and every student. Hence, these are the ideal characteristics of a teacher during this time of pandemic:
· EQUITABLEIn these difficult times, education knows no one because it must fairly cater every student without any discrimination from their social status, gender, race and beliefs. Inevitably, ‘one size does not fit all’, not all students have computer gadgets nor an internet access, classifying them to be the disadvantaged sectors. Since the teachers ought to serve, I must not let them behind. There still effective ways for these children to continue their pursuit of learning such as the use of easily accessed social media sites like Facebook/messenger, constant communication through mobile calls/ messages and most importantly, distribution of printed modules, practice exercises and other non-digital resources to our vulnerable sectors. · CATALYSTA teacher can greatly influence on how the students positively view the world right now. He/she initiates a change for us to ‘BOUNCE BACK BETTER’. · ADAPTIVE/VERSATILE Since the main goal of education today is to provide an equitable learning, the Education Department mandated different learning modalities that may accommodate the diversity of learners. Through these avenues, the teacher can fully and appropriately capacitate the opportunity to guide and support the students. · INNOVATIVEBoxing ourselves to the traditional ways will never be enough, instead, diversity of ideas and seeking new strategies should be our primary goal. In regards with this, physical and virtual mobility play significant role for us to continuously connect and communicate with our students, leading them to explore, share online resources and mobilize themselves creatively. · EFFECTIVE Embracing the new normal in education is one of the first steps to be fully effective teacher that will be reflected also on how the students can be engaged and motivated in our classes despite the variation in modalities. Thus, this will lead to a more transformative education environment.

This evidence covered mostly the expected competencies of the Beginning Teachers stated in the seven (7) domains of Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST). The utilization of the teacher-avatar digital poster are effective tools for the topic to be accurately demonstrated and explained which encompasses the application of Content Knowledge & Pedagogy domain such as the conduct of research in contextualizing ideas and integration of ICT-based methods that aim to engage and motivate learners. In relation with this, it also paved an opportunity to demonstrate the main objective of the education which is to cater the diversity of learners by the use of different modalities appropriate in their context most especially in this time of pandemic that education sector has been really challenged. This technique also may result in better understanding of learners about the gist of the subjects being discussed through the integration of infographics and different elemental designs as proven by the studies that the 21st century students are mostly visual learners. Moreover, activities gave an overview on the school's community linkages and partnership with the stakeholders in order to realize our education goals while upskilling and reflecting ourselves for professional growth and development (associated in Domains 6 and 7). Furthermore, this topic also highlights on how an educator may reflect on the various strategies in accordance to the implementing distance teaching approaches.
