ABSTRACT
This study investigates the effectiveness of contextualized Science 6 video lessons in enhancing the academic performance of Grade 6 students at Namnama Elementary School. Adopting a mixed-methods approach, the research utilizes a pre-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design, classroom observations, and learner feedback to assess the impact of this intervention. This approach enables a comparison of academic outcomes before and after the intervention. Results show a significant improvement in academic performance, with Grade 6-Cherry students demonstrating increased engagement and a deeper understanding of scientific concepts aligned with targeted competencies. The study suggests that integrating multimedia resources tailored to learners' contextual backgrounds can effectively improve their learning outcomes in science. Based on these findings, the integration of contextualized video lessons during the third quarter is recommended as a strategic method for enhancing student comprehension and achievement in science 6. Recommendations for future implementation and further research are discussed to optimize the application of this approach in educational settings.
