ABSTRACT
This study examined the impact of the Home Visitation Primer on improving academic performance, enhancing teacher effectiveness, and strengthening family-school connections. A mixed-methods approach was employed, collecting pre- and post-intervention data from students, teachers, and parents to evaluate changes in academic achievement, instructional practices, and parental engagement. Qualitative data from interviews and thematic analysis provided insights into the evolving dynamics of the home-school relationship. Results showed statistically significant improvements (p<0.05) across all participant groups. Students demonstrated increased academic performance and reduced achievement gaps (M:2.83; SD:0.85 to M:4.01; SD:0.49). Teachers reported improved instructional strategies and more effective communication (M:3.33; SD:0.45 to M:4.27; SD:0.44). Parents indicated greater involvement and a stronger understanding of their children's educational needs (M:2.56; SD:0.41 to M:3.64; SD:0.38). Recommendations for enhancing the program included more frequent home visits, personalized interventions, and advanced communication training. These suggestions were identified as key factors for amplifying the program’s effectiveness. The study supported existing theories on family-school partnerships, demonstrating that structured home visitation initiatives could build stronger connections among students, families, and educators. Findings highlighted the importance of consistent, individualized support in bridging the gap between home and school, offering a scalable model for improving educational outcomes in diverse settings. The Home Visitation Primer proved to be an effective, evidence-based strategy for fostering academic and social-emotional growth, ultimately preparing students for long-term success.
