ABSTRACT
The pandemic has had a significant impact on the academic achievement of students, particularly in essential competencies such as problem-solving skills in Mathematics. To measure the effect of providing a customized reviewer on problem-solving competencies in Mathematics, a study was conducted on 30 randomly selected Grade-10 students at Isabela School of Fisheries during the school year 2022-2023. The study used a pre-experimental design and assessed the mastery of students on problem-solving competencies before and after the implementation of the intervention. The findings showed that the intervention had increased the scores of the students in solving problems in Mathematics, indicating an increase in their mastery of problem-solving competencies. However, the intervention needs more enhancement. Based on the results, it is recommended that Mathematics teachers across different grade levels consider adopting similar interventions tailored to the specific competencies required at each level.
