ABSTRACT
This study assessed the level of implementation of Project ‘LETS READ’ (Literacy Engagement Through Series of Reading Remediation and Enhancement Activities for Development) in Benito Soliven North District for the past two (2) consecutive school years, 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 respectively. The data were collected from the 13 School Heads, 14 School Reading Coordinators, and 44 Grade 1-3 Teachers of Benito Soliven North District using a survey questionnaire and informal interviews. It used the Descriptive Research Design and results showed that all seven (7) components along the execution of the program and the issues and concerns encountered by the respondents are under profiling of learners. Moreover, it was found that there is no significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and the implementation of the program. The implication redounds to coming up with an adjusted and enriched work plan incorporating the recommendations given. It is suggested that conduct of face-to-face profiling of learners, increased contact time for reading instruction, regular conduct of the assessment of reading initiatives, development of sufficient quality ICT-based instructional materials, prioritization of instructional supervision, maximizing opportunities to access online professional development activities, strengthening engagement with external stakeholders, regular conduct of Program Implementation Review (PIR) and crafting of adjusted and enriched work plan in the implementation of the project should be considered for better implementation of the project.
