ABSTRACT
Speaking English with confidence is not easy to develop among students because English is a foreign language. They are hesitant to speak English due to poor judgment from other people when they commit mistakes. That is why many Filipino students still have difficulty with their oral English. This study aimed to determine the effect of Project TEC-TOC on the oral communication skills of Grade 11 students at Luis-Fe Gomez Diamantina National High School, SY 2020-2021. Forty-five SHS students under the Academic Track - General Academic Strand served as participants. The descriptive quantitative research design was used in analyzing the oral communication skills of the student participants before and after the implementation of the project. The data gathered revealed that there is a significant difference (t=-18.812) in the oral communication skills of Grade 11 GAS students before and after the implementation of Project TEC-TOC with a very large effect. The survey also revealed that the students give importance to oral English in preparation for a job. Hence, students need to further improve themselves in oral English to achieve effectiveness in speaking.
