Teachers’ Awareness in Utilization of Multimedia in Teaching-Learning Process in the New Normal Setting

ABSTRACT
This study aimed to determine the awareness of the teachers in utilizing multimedia in teaching-learning process, benefits, issues, and the extended support by the school heads among secondary school teachers of San Mateo District, Division of Isabela. Descriptive research was used in this study. There were 51 respondents in this study using total enumeration technique. Weighted mean was utilized to determine the extent of awareness of the teachers in terms of the utilization of multimedia. The findings of the study revealed that respondents are aware (4.10) of the different multimedia aspects, aware (4.10) also on different multimedia aspects of benefits as to pedagogy, aware (4.10) in different multimedia aspects of benefits as to assessment. Moreover, respondents were also aware (4.12) in the issues in using multimedia in the teaching and learning process. Lastly, respondents were aware (3.56) in terms of the extended support by the school head in employing multimedia in teaching learning process. Hence, Teachers teaching ICT subjects should be motivated and encouraged to pursue their studies in the graduate studies program to farther gain insights, knowledge, and other new trends in coping with the difficult concerns they encounter in the performance of their functions.
