ABSTRACT

Brigada Eskwela Program has been institutionalized as one of the frontline initiatives of the Department of Education that remind people, especially in the community, that education is a responsibility of everyone in the community. This study was conducted to identify the level of implementation of Brigada Eskwela Program as perceived by Dammang East Elementary School stakeholders, a basis for an action plan to enhance its implementation. Participants of the study were limited to the 50 stakeholders employing random sampling technique in selecting representatives from the different sectors like the PTA, Barangay Officials, Alumni Association, Business Sectors and Private sectors. The researcher used the non-experimental quantitative research design. Mean and Standard Deviation and Pearson r correlation were used in analyzing the data. The result disclosed that the implementation of Brigada Eskwela in the three stages is not institutionalized because it is not yet fully implemented. Results also revealed that there are problems met in implementing the program that needs to be addressed. Therefore, it is recommended that a plan of action to be crafted to focus on the three stages of implementation. Thus, during pre-implementation, proper planning must be done ahead of time; during implementation, monitoring and evaluation must be done daily, and during post-implementation, assessment on the accomplishment of targets must also be done. Likewise, rewards and recognition must be part of the program.
