ABSTRACT
The study aimed to investigate the level of teachers’ involvement in giving guidance and counseling activities concerning children who are identified as bullies and those being bullied at Cabatuan West Central School. The descriptive survey method and purposive sampling were used to select the respondents. As a result, 60 were selected, comprising of Teachers and Parents. From the results obtained, the following are concluded: (a) parents and teachers are very much concerned when they see children fighting or engaged in bullying, (b) Parents and teachers differ on their way of dealing with guidance and counseling. Teachers are following the child protection policy. Hence, they do not use corporal punishments. At the same time, parents can harm their children at a moderate level, and (c) Formal guidelines, template, or format on guidance counseling needs to be established. Based on the study, the following are recommended: (a) all teachers should undergo formal training in guidance counseling, (b) all stakeholders should be aware of the anti-bullying law and other child protection policies, and (c)similar research study with a broader scope, more profile variables, and different respondents are also recommended to be conducted by the future researchers.
