ABSTRACT
This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of EMAP (Enhancing Mathematics Achievement Program) as an intervention to improve the Mathematics Achievement of Grade 7 to 11 students at Palanan National High School. One Group Pre-test Post-test Research Design was used with 75 respondents chosen through a random sampling technique. The statistical tools used were Mean, Standard Deviation, and Paired Sample T-test to interpret the students’ grades. Based on the findings, the students’ mathematics achievement before the implementation of EMAP was fairly satisfactory; hence, when EMAP was employed, the students’ level of achievement became satisfactory. Furthermore, a significant increase in the mathematics achievement of grade 7 to 11 students before and after implementing the intervention through EMAP is evident. Thus, students exposed to this intervention showed a significant increase in their mean grades from 1st Quarter to 2nd Quarter, which is computed using the paired sample t-test. Results implied that the utilization of EMAP (Enhancing Mathematics Achievement Program) was an effective intervention in improving the mathematics achievement of grade 7 to grade 11 students at Palanan National High School.
