Stakeholders’ Level of Participation in School-Based Activities at Barcolan Elementary School

ABSTRACT


The study aimed to investigate the level of stakeholders’ participation in school-based activities at Barcolan Elementary School. Descriptive-survey research method was used employing purposive sampling to select the respondents. As a result, 65 were chosen to comprise LGU, Barangay Officials, PNP, AFP, PTA Officials, Parents, Alumni, and Religious sectors. The following were concluded from the results: (a) stakeholders often participate in school activities such as PTA meetings and conferences, Brigada Eskwela, and other programs and projects, (b) stakeholders differ on their participation on PTA meetings and conferences. Not all stakeholders attend PTA Conferences and Meetings, (c) high stakeholder’s participation in school activities leads to the school’s success. Based on the study, the following were recommended: (1) all stakeholders should be included in PTA conferences and meetings to engage them in all school activities, (2) all stakeholders should have the list of school activities and their roles and responsibilities for the whole school year, and (3) similar research study with a broader scope exploring other variables are also recommended to be conducted by the future researchers.
