Project GAWIS came from the Kankana-ey term “gawis” which means good and its operational defined as Gift-giving, Adversity Quotient Enhancement and Ways of Integrating Spirituality to Learners. This project was conducted as a way for the school to share love during this time of pandemic and as a way of expressing to learners that there are people who care about them and that they’re important to this world. Further, it was an integral part of our life to be resilient in life challenges and not to lose faith to God.

Objectives:

At the end of the project, the 50 underprivileged learners:

a. received personal hygiene kits and food packs;

b. increased adversity quotient level and enhanced spiritual aspects; and

c. increased academic performance from below 75 to 80 percent and above percent
