Edukasyon sa Pagpapahalaga

I. Project MATAPAT (Maximizing Awareness in Transforming learners by Allowing them to Participate in Activities geared towards Truthfulness)

         Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (EsP), Values Education (VE) or Good Manners and Right Conduct (GMRC). Whatever the name of the subject is, Project MATAPAT serves as its Mother Program. It entails its very purpose-to transform all learners to become true in whatever endeavor they engage in. Being true encompasses all the activities learners indulge themselves in whether it be in the school, at home or in the community. Truthfulness or honesty serves as the basic value in carrying out the DepEd core values –Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makakalikalsan and Makabansa.  This means that practicing these core values should come from within. Doing so with all truthfulness radiates and is manifested in the learners’ daily activities. Eventually, such value displayed by the learners would influence others and would result to a society with a culture of truthfulness and honesty.

II.  Project WATCH (We Advocate Time Consciousness and Honesty)

         Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum 160 s. 2008, re: Project WATCH (We Advocate Time Consciousness and Honesty) - An Advocacy Movement for Punctuality and Honesty, the project is incorporated in the objectives of Project MATAPAT, the Mother Program of Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (EsP), Values Education (VE) or Good Manners and Right Conduct (GMRC). With this program, learners and school personnel alike are encouraged to practice punctuality and honesty in their daily lives. One of its major activities is putting up Honesty Stores in school campuses. To recognize the WATCH advocates, an awarding of the Most Punctual and Most Honest Learners and School Personnel is conducted in schools in a regular basis either weekly, monthly, or annually during the commencement or graduation ceremonies.

III.  Project GO SDOUC SHS (Generating Optimal, Scholastic, Disciplined, Outstanding, and Universal Champions armed with Selfless High-minded Spirits)

         The Schools Division Office of Urdaneta City upholds its mantra, the home of proactive and productive professionals. As its philosophy speaks, it is expected that it produces well-rounded learners who are optimal, scholastic, disciplined, and outstanding individuals. Possessing such qualities, these learners will become excellent in their chosen careers not only in the local arena but also in the international field because they have been fully equipped with all the knowledge, skills and attitudes imparted by their mentors. In the end, having been armed with selfless and high-minded spirits, these learners are also expected to become proactive and productive in the practice of their professions.
