Compounds-composed of 2 or more elements that are chemically joined together
Elements-a substance that cannot be broken down into simpler substance.
Heterogenous mixture- a type of mixture where different components can be visually distinguished and can be separated through physical means.
Homogenous mixture-a type of mixture that exhibits only 1 phase
Hypothesis- a tentative solution to a problem
Mixture- refers to physical combination of substances. The properties of each specific substance is retained.
Observation- process of gathering data by using senses.
Pure substance- classification of matter with definite and fixed chemical composition. It can be either element or compound.
Saturated Solution- a solution which holds the maximum amount of solute it can hold; that if more solute is added, it would not dissolved.
Scientific Method- It a systematic way of solving problem.
Solute- The substance being dissolved; component of solution present in lesser amount compare to the amount of solvent.
Solvent- The substance that dissolve; component of solution present in greater amount relative to the amount of solute.
Unsaturated solution- a solution which holds less amount of solute it can hold; if more solute is added, it would be dissolved.
