Grade 7 Biology

Asexual reproduction- A type of reproduction that do not require union of sex cells. Thus only 1 parent is required to produce offspring.

Biosphere- region on earth where life exist.

Cell- It is a basic unit of all living organisms that is capable of performing basic life processes.

Consumer- Organisms that feed on other organisms.

Food chain- A model that shows transfer of nutrients and energy among organisms.

Ecosystem- Communities that are interacting with each other, including its environment.

Microscope- An equipment use to view minute organisms that cannot be seen by naked eye.

Organelles- These are organ-like parts of the cell.

Producer- An organism that can manufacture its own food

Reproduction- A process where new individual is produced from parents.

Sexual reproduction- Involves 2 parents producing sex cells (also called gametes)
