• Job Description

A. Advocacy and Community Organization and Mobilization

1. Assist community leaders in identifying possible students and setting up study groups for the ALS Basic Literacy Program. ALS projects include the Equivalency and Accreditation System

2. Conduct literacy mapping

3. Encourage the establishment of CLCs and other networks and programs for the ALS among other people's groups, non-governmental organizations, and other government agencies in order to secure possible support and/or collaborations

4. Assemble functional networking and reporting system

B. Conduct of Learning Sessions 

1. Utilizing the Individual Learning Agreement (ILA) to address the learners' learning needs

2. Assess students using the Functional Literacy Test (FLT) and other ALS assessment tools to ascertain their entry and exit levels.

3. Conduct learning sessions using ALS modules and supplementary materials

4. Create strategies and put them into action to maintain the educational progress made by participants in ALS programs

5. To keep students in the literacy sessions and encourage them to return, conduct home visits, one-on-one tutoring, counseling, and other activities based on their needs

6. Assist in the preparation of learning portfolios

C. Materials Development and/or Adaptation

1. .Create and provide more learning resources as well as community-based learning materials

2. Localize the ALS course materials already in use as well as any additional educational resources

D. Management of Learning Information System (LIS)

1.  Checks and encodes all necessary information of learners' data ensuring its accuracy and retrieval of information for verification purposes

2. Establishing a functional reporting system in generating of learners' information and other related concerns in the LIS
