CATCH-UP FRIDAYS


At a Glance:


Established on January 12th, 'Catch-Up Fridays' is a curriculum-based learning tool designed to enhance fundamental, social, and other pertinent skills required to meet the goals of the basic education program.


According to DepEd, the program intends to speed the attainment of its National Learning Recovery Program's (NLRP) educational targets and support the basic education priorities outlined in the MATATAG Agenda.


DepEd anticipates that the program will improve the learners reading, writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills. The purpose of "Catch-Up Fridays" is to help students meet the requirements of basic education by enhancing their social, fundamental, and other necessary abilities.

Classroom discussions play a vital role in the development of students' non-academic and academic skills. Living in today's world and fostering a robust democracy require effective communication. In the modern world, one of the most critical skills that people have is the ability to listen, comprehend, defend, and communicate a variety of viewpoints and ideas. Therefore, in order for students to succeed in adulthood, they must acquire these talents.
