Established on January 12th, 'Catch-Up Fridays' is a curriculum-based learning tool designed to enhance fundamental, social, and other pertinent skills required to meet the goals of the basic education program.
According to DepEd, the program intends to speed the attainment of its National Learning Recovery Program's (NLRP) educational targets and support the basic education priorities outlined in the MATATAG Agenda.
DepEd anticipates that the program will improve the learners reading, writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills. The purpose of "Catch-Up Fridays" is to help students meet the requirements of basic education by enhancing their social, fundamental, and other necessary abilities.

Through the Alternative Learning System, the Curriculum Implementation Division will administer the A&E Practice test concurrently in school-based and community learning centers in accordance with DepEd Memorandum No. 063, s.2024, titled 2024 Accreditation and Equivalency Test Registration and Administration Guidelines.
This A&E Practice Test is a multiple choice paper and pencil use. For Elementary Level, comprises of 189 items which covers Six Learning Strands of the K to 12 Basic Curriculum. The test runs for LS 1 to LS 6 for 3 hours and 30 minutes while the Junior High School runs LS 1 to LS 3 for 3 hours and 55 minutes, LS 4 to LS 6 for 2 hours and 35 minutes.
