Grade 5 Narrative Report
TechnoHTML: SoloLearn
Narrative Report
There are eleven-pupil participants from Grade-Five and three-teacher facilitator namely: Ma. Joycelyn A. Huelar, Dionisia D. Etac, and the late Maribel F. Gahopo. The Technokids curriculum for Grade-Five is the TechnoHTML which is programming using a cellphone. HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language, this is the language used to create web pages.
For better communication and for the updates, Mrs. Gahopo created a messenger group chat room for the parents of the pupil participants and for us teacher facilitators. In this group chat room, we posted the Google meet links and other reminders for the parents and pupils. We also answered queries from them.
We had our first Google meet last December 8, 2020 at 9:00 in the morning. In TechnoHTML module 1, using their Google account, learners will install SoloLearn on their mobile device and sign in to SoloLearn. After this, we had a short quiz and the learners gave their answers orally.
Our second Google meet was last February 4, 2021 at 3:00 in the afternoon. In TechnoHTML module 2, the learners will explore the SoloLearn interface, locate where their outputs are saved, and learn how to sign out from their SoloLearn account.
Mrs. Etac asked the learners why they needed to sign out from their account. The pupil, Najee Manlangit said, that it is important to sign out so that their account will be safe and secured.
Third meeting with the Grade-Five Technokids was last February 25, 2021 at 3:00 in the afternoon. Two modules were taken during this Google meet. Module 3 in TechnoHTML is about signing in to their SoloLearn account, creating a blank HTML file, and to save and rename their HTML file. In module 4, understand the structure of HTML and to run a blank HTML file.
