Grade 1 Narrative Report
Module 1
December 4, 2020
The first Technokids training for Grade One pupils known as TECHNOWRITER, happened last December 4, 2020, Friday, via Google Meet at around 2:00-2:30pm in the afternoon. Prayer and Netiquette were played through AVP.
The Facilitator assigned was Ms. Mary Joyce G. Losito, that discussed about logging in to Deped Account and installing Google Documents on their devices. Slides and prepared videos for Module 1 were played for the pupils and parents to watch before doing the activities laid ahead.
Goals:
Create your own Google Account
Install Google Docs on your mobile device.
Module I content were as follows:
Log in to the DepEd account given by their respective teachers.
Look for the Google Play Store. Tap the Google Docs app to download then open.
Explore the Google app functions for next activity.
The pupils were asked to submit their screenshot of logged in account and download of Google Docs on the created Technowriters Group Chat.
22 Pupils attended the training and they were beyond happy to explore their gadgets and be able to be in a virtual classroom training.

Module 2
December 11, 2020
The Second Technokids training for Grade One pupils was held last December 11, 2020, Friday, via Google Meet at 2:00-3:00pm in the afternoon. Prayer and Netiquette were also played through Audio-Visual Presentation.
The Assigned Facilitator was Ma’am Rowena F. Duma that talked about Creating, Renaming Google Documents an inserting and deleting text on documents as part of Module 2 Technowriter.
Module 2 content were as follows:

Create Google Document
Rename Google Document
Insert and delete text in Google Document
1.Insert Document - Simply tap the blank page or document. a blinking cursor will appear indicating that your can now start typing. Tap letters on keyboard ot start typing.
2.Removing Test from a Document - If you mispell words, simply tap next to the letter you want to remove and tap Backspace. Google Docs automatically saves changes to your document you are working on called Autosave or Auto Saving.
3.Creating New Document
a.Open the Goole Docs App.
b.Tap create button or the plus sign (+) on the lower-right corner of the screen.
c.After tapping the button, you will see two choices: New Document will give oyu a blank document while Template will show you the different Google Docs templates you can use for your story.
4. Renaming Document
a.While writing in an open document
b.Before selecting document - The default title of a new document is "Untitled Document", to change it, tap the document title. It will show the title bar where you can rename the document. Type the title you want for your document, then tap OK.
5. While the Document is closed
a.Find the document you want to rename. Tap the menu button of the three vertical dots beside the document title, or tap and hold the document until the menu appears.
b.Scroll down and select Rename.
c.Type the title you want for your document.
d. Tap Rename.
17 Pupils sent out their work on our GC and they extended their happy comments on doing the activities looking forward for the next session.

December 11, 2020
Third Session of Technokids Technowriter occurred last January 23, 2021, Saturday, at 2:00-3:00pm. Time is flexible; parents and students were able to attend at the allotted time via Google Meet. Again, prayer and Netiquette were also shown through Audio-Visual Presentation.
The Assigned Facilitator was Sarah Jane S. Bragas that talked about Creating, Renaming Google Documents an inserting and deleting text on documents as part of Module 2 Technowriter.
Module 3 content were as follows:

Open your Google Docs document
Explore the Google Document main menu
Explore the Google Docs document
Use your imagination and creativity in describing objects.
1. Exploring the Google Docs Main Menu
a. Menu – brings up menu from the side of your screen. This is where you can find the documents shared with you, the settings, the bin and many more.
b. Sort – This lets you arrange your documents in alphabetical order, when you last opened it, and many more.
c. Search – helps you find documents faster.
d. Change View – changes the appearance of your documents, from thumbnails to a list.
e. Document – tap it to open.
f. Create button – lets a new blank document or a document with a template.
2. Exploring the Google Docs Document
a. Document Title – the title of the document. You can tap the title to change it.
b. Comments – shows the comments of the owner of the document, or the other users.
c. More Options – where options like page set-up, word document, and document outline are found.
d. Document – here your text appears when you start typing.
e. Edit button – lets you edit the text in your work area.
3. Editing the Document
a. Finish button – tap this button once you are done changing the text in the work area.
b. Undo – removes the last thing that you changed in your document.
c. Redo – restores the last thing that you removed from your document.
d. Format – this makes the Formal menu appear. This is used to edit, change and arrange the text in your document.
e. Insert – makes the insert menu appear. It is used to add images, tables, shapes and drawings to your document.
f. Font Styles – shows the different text styles you can use for your text.
g. Text Color – lets you change the color of your text.
h. Alignment – shows the different text alignments you can use to arrange the text in your document.
i. List – lets you make an ordered unordered list.
4.Format Menu: Text Options
a. Style – this shows the different text styles you can use for your text.
b. Quick Styles – let’s you pick from ready-made font styles or font face quickly.
c. Font – lets you change the appearance of your text.
d. Size – lets you change the size of your text.
5.Format Menu: Paragraph Options
a. Alignment – shows the different alignments you can use to arrange the text in your document.
b. Indent – lets you increase or decrease the space before a paragraph.
c. Lists – lets you make an ordered or unordered list.
d. Line Spacing – lets you change the space between lines in your document.
6. Opening Document
Google Docs automatically saves your documents for you can easily come back to where you left of. To open a saved document, simply tap document that you want to open.
4. Renaming Document

14 Pupils were able to join the training and sent their Google Docs output on Technowriters GC. Activities are becoming more and more exciting every session.

Change the font of the text
Pick your own fonts
Differentiate sand serif from serif fonts
1.Change the Font
a. Open your Google Docs document.
b. Tap Edit button.
c. To change the font, first you need to highlight the word you want to edit. To highlight text, tap and hold the word; this will make a blue highlight appear over the word. If you want to change the font of multiple words, rag the blue arrows under the word until they highlight the words you want to edit.
d. Tap the Format button.
e. Tap Font, then choose the font that you want to use.
Types of Fonts
1.Serif – a letterform that has a small line or serif at the end of the letter stroke. These fonts are mostly used for title and headings;
Examples: Merriweather, Playfair, Lora, Times New Roman
2. Sans Serif – letterform that doesn’t have a small line or serif at the end of the letter stroke. These fonts are mostly used for lengthy text
Examples: Oswald, Arial, Comic Sans, Chivo.
Module 5 content were as follows:
Goals
Change the font size
Use different font sizes.
1.Changing the Font Size
a. Open the Google Docs document.
b. Tap the Edit button.
c. To change the font size, first you need o highlight the word you want to edit. To highlight the text, tap and hold the word; this will make a blue highlight appear over the word. In changing the fonts of multiple words, drag the blue arrows under the word until they highlight the words you want to edit.
d. Tap the format button.
e. It will then show font size the highlighted text is currently using. The font size in Google Docs is measured in pixels.
f. Tap the arrow up to increase the font size and the down arrows to decrease the font size. Adjust the font size until you get your preferred size.
10 students joined the training and the they were extremely glad to do the activities. Definitely showed their skills in using the Google Docs application.
