CLAVERIA CENTRAL SCHOOL, Committed for your Children's Success
The school, which is administered by the Department of Education, has around 1000 learners. Its campus is fenced and gated. This is one of the biggest elementary schools in Cagayan valley.
The Claveria Community School was formally established in June 1917. It was housed in a lot with an area of 28, 370 square meters owned by the Nebab clan which was later on donated by the owner Don Manuel Nebab Sr. and Family for its first school building. Claveria Community school has produced the first batch of graduates in 1923.
Meanwhile, to solve the shortage of classrooms due to the increasing number of learners, it was proposed that a bigger school building must be erected which was presented to the local government of Claveria. Luckily, in 1920, Claveria was one of the recipients of Gabaldon Schools throughout the Country.
The Gabaldon was introduced during the American Period and it is still familiar to the local Officials, teachers and students who had become part of their life and culture. The Claveria Central School in its new name is located near the northernmost part of the Municipality of Claveria along March 17 Street in the east, buonded at Gonzaga street in the south, Manila street in the west and General Antonio Luna street on the north. The Claveria Central School Gabaldon building has been preserved and restored this is a part of the Filipino heritage. Aside for serving as a venue for the education of the young children, these structures are also a part of the life of the residents of the town.
The structure of the Gabaldon remains as it is. The surroundings is well landscaped with various ornamental plants and trees such as narra and talisay. To this day, the Claveria Central School is ever glowing with her remarkable feat and records in competitions.
