The administration of numeracy assessment tool in Grades 1 to 3 at Turac ES is a part of the implementation of Project ZERO N2 (Zest for Excellence, Road to Non-Numerates). This innovative project launched by SDO-SCC will help our learners to have the ability to understand and work with numbers. This will also seek to improve the quality of basic education particularly in Mathematics students’ learning outcomes.
A three-month period (January 23-April 28, 2023) will be given to every elementary school in the division to conduct a numeracy assessment and provide necessary interventions based on the result of their numeracy assessment. All elementary schools which can surpass the challenge within this given period shall be nominated by their PSDS and such nomination signals an on-site validation and paper evaluation by the Division Validation Team.
Good luck and God bless to all our learners!
Seize the Marvelouus Power of Zero Non-Reader and Engaged Stakeholders in Three Months
This project aims to promote the physical, mental, and emotional wellness of teachers, learners, and the whole community as well. Activities such as feeding program, medical and dental mission, provision of sports equipment, giving of free vitamins to teachers, deworming and distribution of health kits were done.
Improving the well-being of learners and teachers at school is very significant because well-being is a crucial prerequisite for achievement and achievement is essential for well-being. Thus, healthy pupils and teachers are better learners and educators!
This project aims to engage the alumni of the school and other stakeholders to help and assist in the different school activities and projects. The stakeholders show their support by donating cash or in kind and some render their time and efforts for the welfare of the school. This project really serves as a great venue in strenghtening collaboration and linkages to ensure the delivery of quality education.
Project RICE aims to address the needs of the struggling readers and to provide enrichment activities to the independent readers to further enhance their reading skills particularly their reading comprehension. The reading project will also serve as an avenue to achieve 100% passing rate of all the learners in all grade levels.
