The ultimate goal of DepEd is to make every child a reader. This target is being equipped by different programs of our of our Department like ECarp and 3'B's ( Bawat Bata Bumabasa) so as support to this program Turac Elementary School launched a program called a Project RICE(Reading Intervention and Comprehension Enhancement Program) in order to strengthen the target of our department and to uplift the reading capacity of Turac learners as well. The pace of reading instructions is modified to allow for different rates of learning.

Turac Elementary School Project RICE (Reading Intervention and Comprehension Enhancement Program) aims to address the needs of the struggling readers and to provide enrichment activities to the independent readers to further enhance their reading skills particularly their reading comprehension. The reading project will also serve as an avenue to achieve 100% passing rate of all of the learners in all grade levels. Such Project RICE thru collaboration efforts of all teachers resulted to a bright improvement in reading towards the reading level of students.

The Project RICE through the initiative of Rachelle Ann R. Dizon (School Reading Coordinator) and Mr. Samuel C. Rosario (School Principal-3), is anchored in the target of the Department of Education to intensify the reading activities in the school to achieve quality education.
