Dear Fifth Grade Families,

Welcome to an exciting new school year at Denver Green School! We are thrilled to have your students join us in the fifth grade. This year promises to be filled with learning, growth, and meaningful experiences. Together, we are here to guide your students through an engaging and enriching academic journey.

Important Updates:

Please stay connected by checking your email and the Reachwell app regularly for important updates throughout the school year. We will communicate important information, announcements, and any changes through these platforms.

Supplies for Donation:

We appreciate any optional supplies for donation to the fifth-grade commons. These supplies will help create a productive and well-equipped learning environment for all students. If you're able to contribute, we welcome items such as extra sharpened pencils, reams of recycled paper, scotch tape rolls, handheld pencil sharpeners, extra expo markers, yellow sticky notes, permanent markers, personal hand sanitizer, colored pencils, crayons, plastic binder dividers, and glue sticks.

Education for Sustainability (EfS):

In fifth grade, students will also engage in Education for Sustainability (EfS). This program is designed to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives needed to create a more sustainable and equitable world. EfS encompasses the rights, responsibilities, and actions associated with leadership and participation toward healthy and sustainable communities. Students will explore the dynamics of systems and change, as well as sustainable economics, which integrates economic, social, and ecological systems to support and maintain life on the planet.
