Dear Parents,
As our children grow in God’s grace, the high school years are a beautiful blend of joy, challenge, and transformation. At Denver Christian School, we know how meaningful—and at times overwhelming—it can be to watch your child mature, make big decisions, and prepare to leave the nest. The thought of college and the financial commitment it brings can add another layer of stress. But you’re not alone. As the College, Career, and Calling Counselor for grades 9–12, I’m here to walk alongside you and your child through each step of this journey.
Now is the perfect time to encourage your teen to explore how God has uniquely designed them—through part-time jobs, volunteer work, athletics, and other interests. These experiences not only build character and confidence, but also help shape a clear direction as they discover their God-given purpose. Colleges love to see students who pursue their passions with intention and heart.
I also strongly encourage you and your child to attend as many of our college and career events as possible. These opportunities provide valuable insights that will help your family become wise, educated consumers as you make informed decisions about your child’s future path.
Please explore the resources available on our school website, and don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly. It’s a true honor to partner with you during this exciting season of growth and preparation.
